Industrial production fell in December
According to TUIK data, industrial production fell 0.2 percent in December from the same month a year earlier.
When the industry subsectors are analyzed (2015=100 reference years), in December 2022 the extractive sector index decreased 1.1 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, the manufacturing industry index increased 0. 5 percent and the sectoral index for the production and distribution of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning decreased by 8.5 percent.
Industrial production rose 1.6 percent in December compared with the previous month.
When industry subsectors are analyzed, in December 2022, the mining and extraction sector index increased by 2.3 percent and the manufacturing industry sector index by 1.7 percent, while the production and distribution sector of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning decreased by 0.2 percent.
