BRSA’s new decision after the earthquake
The BRSA announced the decisions of the board of directors made in the scope of the “Regulations on Credit Operations of Banks”, “Regulations on the Establishment and Principles of Operation of Financial Leasing, Factoring and Financing Companies” and “Regulations on Bank Cards and Credit Cards” due to the earthquake disaster.
NEW DECISION ON LOANS
Within the scope of the decisions, for the residents of Adana, Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, Hatay, Gaziantep, Kahramanmaraş, Kilis, Malatya, Osmaniye and Şanlıurfa, facilities for loan terms and repayment terms were granted for 6 months from the 6th of February.
Consequently, the maturities of the loans for housing, vehicles and consumption to be granted or restructured to residents of said provinces will not be subject to the terms previously determined by the BRSA and may be determined by the banks, including the application of grace periods. .
On the other hand, credit card payment terms will increase up to once for goods and services sold with credit cards by associated companies located in these provinces. (AA)
