Minimum wage request from ATO President Baran
Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO) Chairman Baran shared on his Twitter account about the minimum wage.
Stating that they, as employers, are waiting for the minimum wage figure, which is on the country’s agenda and will be announced tomorrow by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Baran noted that the minimum wage is calculated to meet the needs of employees, as food, housing, clothing, health and transportation.
Noting that his main goal is to ensure that employees live in prosperity, Baran made the following assessments:
“It should not be forgotten that the minimum wage, which is important in terms of the global competitive environment, production costs, job protection and new jobs, is determinative for other wages and will affect the continuity of business. We hope to announce a salary level that satisfies workers and employers, contributes to the development of our country, and makes us look to the future with hope.” (AA)
