The farmer rebelled: We do not get fertilizer, we are throwing the merchandise in our field
Ali Samet Kocamanoğlu, who is a farmer in Osmaniye’s Kadirli district, stated that he had to dump animal manure on his field because he couldn’t buy fertilizer due to rising prices, saying, “We couldn’t buy fertilizer this year. What will happen if we do not sow our fields here? We have to bread because we are in storage. That is why we dump the manure (animal manure) from the goods on our fields,” he said.

Ali Samet Kocamanoğlu, a farmer and sheep and goat breeder in Koçlu village in Osmaniye’s Kadirli district, complained about rising prices and the high cost of living. Kocamanoğlu stated that he could not get fertilizer or food for the soil, saying:
“FERTILIZATION OF GOOD IS GOLD”
“The bag of soil fertilizer is 600 lire, we have financial problems. This year we did not receive any fertilizer. This is our field, what will happen if we don’t sow it? We have to bread because we are in storage. That is why we throw the dregs of the merchandise in our fields. We could not fertilize this field. Normally, we would have to throw 10 bags of soil fertilizer in this field, we couldn’t. In fact, the dung of goods turned into gold. That’s why we dump the manure on our field.

“WE ARE EATING CUTTING PALIT AS AN ALTERNATIVE”
We have been raising livestock for years, for the first time we could not buy feed, that is, we buy feed but we get less. A bag of barley paste costs 400 lira, a bag of bagasse costs 600 lira, a 50-kilogram bag of silage costs 75 lira. We are not receiving food. Naturally, we resorted to alternative means. We collect the palit (acorn) from the cut and mix it with straw and give it to the merchandise. What should we do if the animal is hungry? We have to resort to alternative means.” PHOENIX
