1.5 MILLION PEOPLE WILL RETIRE FROM THE EYT

Minister Bilgin, who presented his budget to the Parliamentary Committee on Plan and Budget, said that the number of EYT members was not 5 million or 8 million as is exaggerated, and that with the removal of the age requirement, about 1, 5 million people would retire.

Stating that the majority of EYT members are workers and that 87 percent of them are still working, Bilgin asserted that those subject to the number of premium days and years of service terms will expect to meet these conditions. according to the law.

Bilgin stated that with the introduction of the EYT regulation, a significant amount of the severance pay burden will rise on employers, and discussions of these issues were also effective in delaying the regulation.
