TESK Commercial Vehicle Inspection Fee Discount Lawsuit

Turkish Trades and Crafts Confederation (TESK) Chairman Bendevi Palandöken stated that there will be an increase in the reassessment rate of vehicle inspection fees in the new year and demanded a special discount on inspection fees that Will apply. applied to commercial vehicles.

Palandoken, in his letter, recalled that there will be an increase in the revaluation rate of 122.93 percent in vehicle inspection rights from the beginning of the year.

Noting that traders operating in the transport sector will be affected by this increase, Palandöken argued that a reduction in annual MOT fees for commercial vehicles should be made.

10 MILLION OUT OF 26 MILLION VEHICLES ARE COMMERCIAL

Noting that at the end of September, 10 million of the 26 million vehicles registered for traffic were commercial vehicles, Palandoken said:

“Commercial vehicles such as taxis, trucks and buses operating in the transport sector are required to have their vehicles inspected every year after the first year. However, our traders, just coming out of the pandemic, were unable to cover their past losses and their business has yet to settle.

Our driver merchants, who have not been able to straighten their backs with the increase in diesel fuel in the past year, are finding it difficult to pay their vehicle inspection fees, vehicle insurance, taxes, premiums from Bağ-Kur and SSK. To avoid victimization of our dealers, a special discount should be provided for commercial vehicle inspections, which are mandatory every year.” (AA)
