CHP Law Proposal: Mandatory to pay the bank promotion to the worker
The Labor Law Amendment Bill, signed by CHP Group vice presidents Engin Altay, Özgür Özel and Engin Özkoç, aims to make it mandatory to distribute all payments to be made under the name of promotion to workers of according to the monthly and salary payment protocols between banks and employers.
It is recommended to impose an administrative fine on employers who do not pay promotion payments to workers with the offer. In the justification for the proposal, it was stated that the Turkish lira has lost value and the inflation rate has increased since 2018, when the constitutional reform came into force.
‘LIVING CONDITIONS OF THE PAID HAVE BEEN DIFFICULT’
Recalling that the ruling party and the executive promised not to burden citizens with inflation, he stated that living conditions are becoming more difficult every day, especially for those with low income, fixed income, minimum wage and retirees.
In the recorded justification that a legislative reform was made for the direct payment of promotional payments offered by banks to beneficiaries, the following statements were included:
“If there are more than 6 months left for the expiration of the protocols that the employers and the banks have carried out and that are still in force, it is expected that a new protocol agreement between the employers and the banks will be signed in an appropriate manner within 1 month .
The proposal aimed to distribute all bank promotions to workers in a period in which the economic crisis was felt very intensely, and an administrative fine was proposed if they were not distributed to workers.
