AKP awarded 1.2 billion jobs to selected contractors in 4 big secret tenders
The AKP government continues to give the contractor who wants the job he wants. AKP prefers secret tenders instead of the “Open Procedure”, which allows competition, especially in large tenders, which the Public Procurement Law contemplates as the main procedure.
The government uses the “21-b Negotiation” procedure, which the law has determined as an exception to be implemented in extraordinary situations such as earthquakes, as a means of giving the job it wants to the company it wants. There is no advertisement requirement for offers made based on this article. The administration that will make the tender sends special invitations to the companies it wants.
Uninvited companies can only be informed about these big tenders together with ordinary citizens after the bidding process is completed. Sometimes it can take months or even years for the results of these tenders, which are carried out without announcing anyone, to be announced by the Public Procurement Authority.
TODAY THE RESULT OF 4 BIDS IS ANNOUNCED
The Public Procurement Authority today announced 4 large tenders to the public after all its processes were completed. The 4 tenders, which were held behind closed doors, without being announced to anyone, were organized by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, and the total cost is 1 billion 241 million TL.
HIDDEN FOR TWO AND A HALF YEARS
Among these tenders, “Construction of Tail Tunnels and Pedestrian Connection Tunnels of the Sabiha Gökçen Subway” was announced to the public exactly two and a half years after its organization. The offer of 434.9 million lire, which is understood to have been made on May 12, 2020, has been made public today. When calculated according to the exchange rate on the date of the offer, the size of the offer reaches approximately 1.1 billion lire with today’s figures.
