Turkey’s oil imports rose 5.6 percent in August

According to the Energy Market Regulatory Authority’s “Oil Market Sector Report” for August, imports of crude oil, which constitutes the largest item of Turkey’s total oil imports, increased by 3.04 percent. cent to 2 million 942 thousand 495 tons.

In this period, imports of diesel types decreased 3.53 percent to 1 million 28 thousand 866 tons. Aviation and marine fuels, gasoline and fuel oil types and other products made up the remaining part of imports.

4 MILLION 338 THOUSAND 242 TONS OF EXPORTED PRODUCTS

Thus, total imports increased 5.6 percent in August compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 4 million 338 thousand 242 tons. The largest import of crude oil and oil derivatives was made from Russia with 1 million 802 thousand tons, followed by Iraq with 1 million 99 thousand tons and Kazakhstan with 476 thousand 161 tons.

For its part, sales of gasoline decreased 4.04 percent to 341 thousand 427 tons in August compared to the same month of the previous year, and those of diesel decreased 5.67 percent to 2 million 321 thousand 871 tons.
Total sales of oil derivatives decreased 4.49 percent and were recorded at 2,805,673 tons.

EXPORTS OF PETROLEUM DERIVATIVES INCREASE 57.6 PERCENT

Turkey’s aviation fuel exports rose 60.8 percent in August to 464,815 tonnes. In that period, the export of marine fuels increased 28.06 percent to 106 thousand 628 tons.

While gasoline-type exports rose 402.2 percent to 245,205 tons, diesel-type exports fell 41.3 percent to 82,696 tons. In the oil market, total exports with other products increased 57.6 percent and reached 1,229,585 tons.

The production of diesel type decreased by 3.99 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and went to 1 million 455 thousand 444 tons, the production of gasoline type increased by 26.2 percent to 493 thousand 182 tons, the production of aviation fuels increased by 26.1 percent to 501,353 tons.

The production of marine fuels increased 66.3 percent and was calculated at 98,837 tons. Total production of refinery petroleum products with other types of fuel decreased 0.02 percent to 3,369,749 tonnes. (AA)
