The United States and Poland reach an agreement for a nuclear power plant
Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced that an agreement has been reached with the United States for the nuclear power plant.
Morawiecki, in his post on his Twitter account, stated that the US-Polish partnership will bring success.
Referring to his meeting with US Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm, Morawiecki said they have reached an agreement with Westinghouse for nuclear power.
Granholm also stated that an agreement has been reached with Warsaw for the first part of Poland’s $40 billion nuclear project.
Noting that the project in question will provide job opportunities for more than 100,000 Americans, Granholm emphasized that this project is important for energy security.
MESSAGE TO RUSSIA
Stating that the nuclear power deal is also a message to Russia, Granholm said: “We will no longer allow them to weaponize energy. As the West stands united against this unwarranted aggression, it will also diversify energy supply chains and strengthen climate cooperation.” he used his statements.
Polish Climate and Environment Minister Anna Moskwa drew attention to the importance of the agreement for cooperation between the two countries, saying: “The new Polish-American adventure starts now.” she made her appraisal.
Construction of the nuclear power plant will start in 2026 and the first reactor is expected to be operational in 2033. (BRITISH AUTOMOBILE CLUB)
