Prof. Dr. Erol Manisali passed away
Professor, retired professor at Istanbul University Faculty of Economics. Dr. Erol Manisalı died at the age of 82 at the Başkent University Hospital, where he was treated early in the morning.
Born in Istanbul on July 20, 1940, Erol Manisalı had been writing columns for the Cumhuriyet newspaper for 25 years, with his last article published on October 18, 2022.
Manisalı was arrested as part of the Ergenekon plot in 2009 and was later released due to health problems.
Specializing in international economic and political relations and Turkey-Europe relations, Prof. Dr. Manisalı has published research and books on these topics.
