Auto production and sales declined in July in China
According to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), 2.4 million cars were produced in the country in July, while 2.39 million cars were sold. Auto production declined 2.2 percent and sales 1.4 percent on an annual basis.
Car production reached 15,650,000 in the first 7 months, an increase of 7.4 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, sales that reached 15,630,000 increased 7.9 percent .
In the first 6 months, production increased 9.3 percent and sales increased 9.8 percent.
EXPORTS INCREASE 63 PERCENT
For their part, automobile exports increased significantly in July compared to the same period of the previous year.
According to data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), a total of 310,000 cars were exported last month, while car exports increased 63 percent year on year.
While a total of 1,990,000 vehicles were exported from China in the first 7 months, the increase in exports reached 81 percent. (AA)
