Automotive production increased 17 percent in 4 months

The Automotive Industry Association (OSD) announced data for the first 4 months of 2023.

In this way, total production in the period January-April 2023 increased 17 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 479,330 units.

Car production, which increased 29 percent compared to the first four months of the previous year, reached 295,688 units. Along with the production of tractors, total production increased to 499,927 units.

In the commercial vehicle group, production increased by 2 percent in the first 4 months of the year, and by 18 percent in the heavy commercial vehicle group, while it was parallel to the previous year in the light commercial vehicle group.

Compared to the first 4 months of 2022, the commercial vehicle market increased by 62%, the heavy commercial vehicle market by 56% and the light commercial vehicle market by 63%.

TOTAL EXPORTS INCREASE BY 9 PERCENT DEPENDING ON THE QUANTITY

In the first 4 months of the year, compared to the same period of the previous year, total automobile exports increased 9 percent on a unit basis, while the increase in automobile exports was 22 percent.

In this period, total exports amounted to 329,240 units, while automobile exports amounted to 205,398 units.

In the quarter of 2023, the total market increased by 57 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and closed at 350 thousand 78 units. In this period, the automobile market also increased by 56 percent and reached 252,819 units.
