Schumacher’s Ferrari sold for TL 244 million at auction
The F2003 was the most successful car driven by the German Formula 1 driver; Schumacher won five races and the 2003 Formula 1 World Championship in this car.
At the auction held at Sotheby’s Auction House in Geneva, the vehicle’s value reached 10 million francs in 15 minutes, and an unidentified buyer who attended the auction by phone passed all bids and took the Chassis 229.

Sotheby’s auction house, which estimates that the Ferrari will sell for 9.5 million francs, announced that the final price of the vehicle reached 283 million TL (14.69 million francs), including taxes and fees.
Chassis 229 received Ferrari “Red Book” certification and was restored at the company’s Maranello plant in 2022.
Schumacher drove this car for the first time when he won the fifth race of the season, the race in Spain in 2003. The German driver became World Champion by winning the races in Austria, Canada, Italy and the United States with this car. Ferrari also won its 13th Constructors’ Championship title in 2003.
After leaving F1 in 2012, Schumacher suffered a serious head injury in a skiing accident in Switzerland in December 2013. The seven-time world champion has not been seen since and not much is known about his condition.
