Sales of cars and light commercial vehicles increased in September
Parallel to the increase in sales of light commercial vehicles, the market for automobiles and light commercial vehicles reached 62 thousand 84 units in September with an increase of 8.7 percent compared to the previous year.
According to data from the Association of Automotive Dealers (ODD), auto sales rose 2.9 percent year on year to 44,681 units in September, while sales of light commercial vehicles rose 26.7 percent.

The increase in demand from the truck segment in the sale of light commercial vehicles was highlighted. While 12,320 vans were sold in the January-September period of last year, 16.11 vans were sold in the same period this year, an increase of 29.96 percent.

As for the car market by segment, 88.1 percent of the market in September consisted of vehicles from segments A, B and C with low tax rates.
While C-segment cars had a 50.4 percent share with 201,311 units, B-segment cars took a 37.2 percent share with 148,550 units.
Compared to the 10-year average of September sales in the car market, a decrease of 5.1% was registered.
