Best-selling car brands in September announced
In the Turkish car and light commercial vehicle market, the top-selling brands last month were Fiat, Ford and Renault, respectively.
According to data from the Association of Automotive Dealers (ODD), the market for cars and light commercial vehicles grew 8.7 percent in September compared to the same period last year.
According to information compiled from the ODD report, Fiat ranked first with 13 thousand 1 units in total sales, between passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. Ford followed with 7,352 sales and Renault with 5,248 sales. Volkswagen was fourth with 4,731 sales and Toyota was fifth with 3,791 sales.
Last month, auto sales rose 2.9 percent from the same period a year earlier, to 44,681, while light commercial vehicle sales rose 26.7 percent to 17,403.
In August, the brands that sold the most vehicles were Fiat, Volkswagen and Renault, respectively.
FERRARI CAN ONLY SELL ONE VEHICLE IN SEPTEMBER
In the list, which includes 44 brands in car sales, all brands except Bentley and Smart were sold last month.
In September, 49 Porsches, 44 Maserati, 33 Lexus, 13 Jaguars, 3 Aston Martins and 1 Ferrari were sold.
In September, Fiat was once again the brand that sold the most cars, not counting light commercials, with 8,138. Volkswagen followed Fiat with 4,393 sales and Renault with 4,202 sales. Hyundai ranked fourth with 3,024 sales, while Toyota ranked fifth with 2,953 sales.
As for the light commercial vehicle segment, Ford ranked first on the list with 6,667 sales in September. Ford was followed by Fiat with 4,863 sales and Renault with 1,046 sales. Peugeot was fourth with 894 sales and Toyota fifth with 838 sales. (AA)
