North Korean leader reviewed satellite images of the White House and Pentagon
North Korea sent a direct message of warning to the United States by announcing that the spy satellite it launched last week photographed the White House and the Pentagon.
North Korea’s state news agency KCNA announced that President Kim Jong Un examined satellite images of bases in the United States, the White House and the Pentagon building of the Ministry of Defense.
Noting that the United States and South Korea will be closely monitored from now on with the spy satellite, KCNA also shared images of Kim examining satellite photographs with his daughter.
Experts say North Korea, which does not release the images it has, has made significant progress with the launch of a spy satellite, but the satellite’s capabilities are in doubt.
North Korea had previously described US bases in South Korea as a “major enemy target.” Nuclear-powered North Korea, which has recently conducted many missile tests, has repeatedly threatened the United States, saying “we will attack you.”
The United States and South Korea, on the other hand, view Pyongyang’s launch of a spy satellite as a violation of UN Security Council resolutions on anti-ballistic weapons.
