Hamas: “We are close to an agreement”

Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh stated that they were “close to reaching” a ceasefire agreement with Israel and that they transmitted their responses to Qatar, which was mediating on this issue.
The Hamas Telegram account included the statement made by the head of the movement’s Political Bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, about the ceasefire.

Haniyeh said: “The movement responded to its brothers and mediators in Qatar. “We are close to reaching a ceasefire agreement.” he said.

While Hamas’s armed wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, launched a comprehensive attack on the morning of October 7, claiming to “respond to Israel’s continued violations against the Palestinians and their sacred values, especially the Masjid al-Aqsa”, the Israeli army also launched intense aerial bombardment on the Gaza Strip.

It was announced that 1,200 Israelis, including more than 310 soldiers, were killed and 5,132 people were injured in the October 7 attacks in Israel.

Since October 7, 217 Palestinians have lost their lives in attacks by Israeli forces and Jewish settlers in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.

The Israeli army attacked the campuses or main buildings of dozens of Gaza hospitals, where tens of thousands of wounded and civilians took refuge, to force their evacuation. Some hospitals were raided during the occupation. Hundreds of people were killed and injured in the attacks.

76 Hezbollah members have been killed in clashes between the Israeli army and Hezbollah on the border since October 8.

Meanwhile, it was reported that 100 wounded were transferred overnight from the Indonesian Hospital, located in the northern Gaza Strip and under Israeli siege, to the Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis.
According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, the transfer of the wounded was carried out in coordination with the International Red Cross Organization.
The relative of an injured person who was taken to Nasır Hospital said: “We had difficulties getting out. We were at the Zeytun school, they destroyed us there. We went to the Indonesian Hospital. The doctors there treated us with great respect. “We still have brothers there.” saying.
The injured relative asked: How was the road between Hospital Indonesia and here? to the question: “The road is red and full of death. God help the driver. “I can not afford it”. he replied he.
Sources in the region stated that there are still 500 wounded in the Indonesian Hospital and that efforts are being made to transfer the wounded to the Nasser Hospital and other hospitals in the southern Gaza Strip. (AA-DHA)
