Statement on Babies Rescued from Sifa Hospital in Gaza
The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that 28 of the 31 premature babies who were transferred from Shifa Hospital in southern Gaza due to the Israeli army incursion were sent in ambulances to the Rafah border gate to be evacuated to Egypt.
The Palestinian Red Crescent’s written statement states that 28 premature babies were taken by ambulance from Emirates Hospital in Rafah, where they were transferred yesterday, and headed to the Rafah border gate.
It was stated that the babies in question will be transferred to Egypt from the Rafah border gate for further treatment. It was noted that the evacuation procedures were carried out in cooperation with the World Health Organization and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
On the other hand, in the statement from the Palestinian Red Crescent it was stated that 3 of the 31 premature babies transferred from the Sifa Hospital in southern Gaza were in good condition, so they would continue under observation in the hospital in the region. .
