Scandalous request from the Israeli minister
Israeli Intelligence Minister Gila Gamliel argued that the international community should support the “voluntary resettlement” of Palestinians living in the blockaded Gaza Strip to other countries.
Gamliel, who is also a member of parliament for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party, wrote an article for the Jerusalem Post newspaper.
Arguing that Gaza “has long been considered an unsolvable problem,” Gamliel stated that Israel has tried many ways to address this issue, including building walls on the border, but all have failed.
“THEY NEED TO TRY SOMETHING NEW”
Referring to the idea of a “voluntary resettlement” of Palestinians from Gaza in other countries, Gamliel stated that “they should try something new” and called for “help” from the international community in this regard.
The Israeli minister maintained that one of the options for Gaza after Israel’s attacks is to “encourage the voluntary resettlement of Palestinians outside the Gaza Strip for humanitarian reasons.”
Gamliel, who also took aim at the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), said: “Instead of investing money in UNRWA, which has failed to rebuild Gaza, the international community can help with the costs of resettlement and “Provide new homes for the people of Gaza.” “It can help them build new lives in their host countries.” he said.
Gamliel stated that the “voluntary resettlement” of those in Gaza to other countries would benefit both Palestinians and Israelis.
It was learned that the Ministry of Intelligence, of which Gamliel was minister, was preparing a war proposal that provided for the transfer of a part of the Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to the Sinai Peninsula, much of which is a desert in Egypt. .
In the document approved by the Ministry of Intelligence dated October 13, it was stated that the forced migration of civilians from Gaza to Egypt “would produce positive and long-term strategic consequences.”
THE MINISTERS MADE SIMILAR STATEMENTS
Israeli ministers frequently mention the option of “voluntary migration” for Palestinians in Gaza to be deported from their homeland and to other countries.
Israel’s far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich stated that “the voluntary migration of Gazans and acceptance by the countries of the world is a humanitarian solution that will end the suffering of Jews and Arabs.”
Far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir supported calls for Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to be deported to other countries.
Heritage Minister Amihai Eliyahu, who is noted for his far-right views and noted for his claim that dropping a nuclear bomb on Gaza is “one of the options,” also stated in a program he attended: “(Palestinians in Gaza) can also go to Ireland or the deserts, the “monsters” of Gaza “must find solutions for themselves.” He used the following expressions: (BRITISH AUTOMOBILE CLUB)
