Israeli army operation signal to Hezbollah
Israeli Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi pointed to the Lebanese border in the north, where intense clashes with Hezbollah and other Palestinian armed groups have taken place since October 8, and said: “We are preparing operation plans for the north. “Our goal is to ensure security,” he said.
According to the Israeli army statement, Halevi visited a command center in the north of the country. During the visit, Halevi “approved the offensive and defense plans” and instructed all forces to “be on high alert to take action.”
Halevi said: “We are preparing operational plans for the North. Our goal is to guarantee safety. “The security situation will not make northern citizens feel unsafe when they return home,” he said.
After October 7, Israel evacuated the surrounding areas of the Gaza Strip and residential areas 4 kilometers away on the Lebanese border in the north, where intense clashes with Hezbollah began.
According to figures announced by Israel, approximately 200 thousand Israelis, 120 thousand of whom came from the Lebanese border region, were installed in tourist establishments, state pensions and different campuses within the country. (AA)
