Netanyahu: siege on Gaza over
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu spoke at a joint press conference with Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
Speaking of Israel’s continued attacks on the Gaza Strip, which has been under complete siege since October 7, Netanyahu said: “We will defeat Hamas and bring back our prisoners. “We will not stop until the mission is completed,” he said.
“We will remain in Gaza as long as necessary”
Noting that the Israeli military “will remain in Gaza as long as necessary” to deter Hamas attacks, Netanyahu said: “I will not agree to relinquish security control over the Gaza Strip.”
“ORDU IS IN THE HEART OF THE CITY”
Netanyahu: “The Israeli army has completed the siege of Gaza City. They now operate in the heart of the city. “They are around the Şifa hospital,” he said.
CALL TO ARAB COUNTRIES
Addressing the leaders of Arab countries, Netanyahu called on them to “rise up against Hamas” and said: “Hamas is an integral part of the axis of terror led by Iran, and this axis of evil and terror puts the world, as well as the the entire Arab world, at risk.” “I think many leaders of Arab countries understand this,” he said.
“ABBAS ADMINISTRATION CANNOT BE IN GAZA”
On the other hand, Netanyahu argued that he was against the idea of handing over the administration of the Gaza Strip to the Palestinian Authority, headed by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, after Hamas.
Accusing Abbas of failing to condemn Hamas’ attacks on Israel on October 7, Netanyahu singled out Abbas and said: “There cannot be an authority there (Gaza) whose leader still does not condemn the terrible massacre that took place even after more than 30 days.” said.
Reiterating that they want full control of Israel’s security in Gaza, the Israeli Prime Minister said that establishing Jewish settlements there again as before was “not a realistic goal” and that they did not support it.
REACTION TO MACRON: HE MADE A MORAL MISTAKE
The Israeli prime minister also reacted to French President Emmanuel Macron’s words that “civilians died in the attacks on Gaza and Israel should stop its attacks.”
Netanyahu said of Macron: “He made a serious mistake, literally and morally.”
GALANTE: YOU CAN’T GIVE US MORAL LESSONS
Speaking after Netanyahu, Defense Minister Gallant also expressed the opinion that “The deeper the military operation and the stronger the force applied, the more pressure Hamas will have and the greater the chances of reaching the abductees.”
“WE ARE NOT IN 1943”
Gallant rejected the international reactions against Israel and said: “We have the power to defend ourselves, this is not 1943. Where do the nations of the world have the courage to give us moral lessons? he said. (AA)
