Hamas statement on “missing hostage”

Hamas: more than 60 hostages missing

Abu Ubeyde, spokesman for the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, announced that more than 60 hostages were “missing” due to the Israeli attacks.

Ubeyde said they found the bodies of 21 hostages who were trapped under the rubble as a result of the attacks.

The spokesperson stated that “due to the attacks, they will most likely never be able to reach the rest.”

Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari recently announced that the number of Israeli hostages in the Gaza Strip was 240.

Israel says calls for a ceasefire in Gaza can be discussed once the hostages are freed.
