The speech that the world was eagerly awaiting: We went to war against Israel
The secretary general of the Hezbollah organization in Lebanon, Hasan Nasrallah, addressed the public on television for the first time since October 7, when the Palestinian-Israeli war broke out.
In his speech, highly anticipated in the world due to rumors that a new front against Israel could be opened from Lebanon, Nasrallah stated: “The war of the Al-Aqsa flood has spread to more than one front” in relation with the attacks carried out by Hamas against Israel.
‘YOU CAN’T DESTROY HAMAS’
Nasrallah asserted that the decision to attack belonged entirely to the Palestinians, saying: “It has been seen how weak Israel was, whom the United States rushed to help from day one. They could not achieve any military success within a month. “They have set goals that they cannot reach and cannot destroy Hamas,” he said.
Stating that the United States is primarily responsible for the war in Gaza, the Shiite leader said: “You cannot find a greater war, humanly and morally, than the war with the Zionists.”
‘WE ENTERED THE WAR ON OCTOBER 8’
Nasrallah, who also supported the attacks on US bases in Iraq and Syria, said: “We went to war in Lebanon on October 8. Our forces fight on all fronts and day by day they intensify operations. “In this way, Israel is forced to keep its forces on the Lebanese border,” he said.
Stating that the war in Gaza is different from previous ones, Nasrallah said: “The first objective is to stop the aggression against Gaza and the second is the victory of Hamas and Gaza.”
Meanwhile, Hezbollah, which is fighting with Israel in Lebanon’s southern border region, announced that one of its members was killed. The number of Hezbollah members killed in clashes on the Lebanon-Israel border since October 8 has risen to 56. (AGENCIES)
