Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Medbuli said the Egyptian people are willing to sacrifice millions of lives for every grain of sand in the Sinai Peninsula.

According to local Egyptian media reports, Medbuli met with some military officers and leaders of Arab tribes from the region at the headquarters of the 101st Battalion in the city of El-Arish.

Referring to the investments made in the Sinai Peninsula since 2014 and the importance of the region for Egypt, Medbuli said: “Throughout history, since the ancient Egyptian civilization, there has been a threat and attack against Egypt and the river Nile”. he said.

Stating that the Sinai has special importance and value for all the Egyptian people, Medbuli said: “We Egyptians are willing to sacrifice millions of lives for every grain of sand in the land of Sinai. Egypt will not allow anything to be imposed on it. “We will not allow regional problems to be eliminated or resolved against us.” he said.

On the other hand, Medbuli, who made a statement to the press in front of the Rafah border gate, stated that they are against the policy of collective punishment applied to civilians in the Gaza Strip and that they have been working to solve this crisis. humanitarian. since the first day of the crisis.

Calling on the entire world to “condemn the killing of civilians on both sides (Palestine-Israel),” Medbuli stated: “One side has no superiority or characteristic over the other, they are all equal. “We are all against the killing of innocent civilians.” said.
