Erdoğan’s telephone diplomacy for Gaza
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
According to the statement from the Presidential Communications Directorate, in addition to the Russia-Ukraine war, the conflicts between Israel and Palestine and the humanitarian crisis in the region were discussed during the meeting.
During the meeting, President Erdoğan emphasized that it is possible to resolve conflictive processes in the region, especially the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, through peaceful means, and that Turkey will continue to make all possible efforts to achieve this.
Erdoğan also had a telephone conversation with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni. During the meeting, what happened within the framework of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the steps that could be taken to guarantee tranquility in the region were discussed. (AA)
