Concern over a ‘new massacre’ in Gaza… Israel’s threat to ‘evacuate’ hospitals
As the death toll in Israel’s attacks on Gaza rose to 4,385, including 1,756 children, Israel’s threats against Gaza hospitals raise concerns about a “new massacre.”
In Israel’s attack on Al-Ahli hospital in Gaza on October 17, 471 people were killed and 342 injured, 28 of them seriously. This incident, which marked a turning point in the war that has been going on since October 7, increased reactions against Israel in the world, and Tel Aviv rejected the accusations.
URGENT CALL FOR INTERVENTION FROM PALESTINE
As the fallout from this terrible incident continued, yesterday’s news that Israel wanted the Jerusalem Hospital, located in the south of blockaded Gaza, to be evacuated immediately “in preparation for the bombing” caused widespread panic.
The Palestinian Red Crescent called for urgent intervention from the world to prevent a new massacre.
The Palestinian Health Ministry also called for urgent intervention from the international community to prevent a “new hospital tragedy” in Gaza.
On the other hand, the Israeli army was reported to have warned 20 hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip, which was under shelling and blockade, to be evacuated.
In Israeli state television KAN news, based on Israeli security sources, it was stated that Israel warned 20 hospitals in northern Gaza to be evacuated, and 6 of them were evacuated.
It was reported that 4 of the hospitals rejected this warning and decided not to evacuate, while the rest were in the evacuation phase.
The United Nations (UN) and international organizations warn about the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip due to the two weeks of ongoing bombings and blockade by Israel. (AGENCIES)
