As the world’s eyes focus on Gaza, tensions rise on the Israel-Lebanon border
The Israeli army reported that 4 of its soldiers were slightly injured in the attack with anti-tank missiles launched from Lebanese territory.
The army’s written statement states that an anti-tank missile attack was carried out from the opposite side in an area close to Israel’s Lebanese border. The statement states that four Israeli soldiers were slightly wounded in the attack and that the area where the anti-tank missile was fired was hit by artillery fire.
Separately, Hezbollah in Lebanon claimed responsibility for the attack. Hezbollah’s written statement states that an attack was carried out in the al-Rahib region against a “Merkava” tank belonging to the Israeli army.
HIZBULLAH STATEMENT ON GAZA
Meanwhile, Hezbollah condemned the Israeli army’s attack on al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza.
In the written statement made by Hezbollah, it was stated that “humanity is mourning the terrible and brutal crimes committed by Zionist criminal gangs.” The statement, which stated that all convictions were no longer sufficient, stated:
“We call on the people of our Ummah in the Islamic world and in the Arab countries to take immediate action and express this great anger in the streets and squares.”
The statement called for Wednesday to be a “day of rage” against Israel and US President Joe Biden’s visit to Israel. (AA)
