Palestinian-American model Gigi Hadid’s reaction to the attacks on Gaza infuriated Israel.
Hadid condemned on her Instagram account the Hamas incursion into Israeli territory and the Israeli bombing of Gaza.
“I feel deep empathy and anguish every day for the Palestinian struggle and life under occupation. “I must also make this clear to my Jewish friends: While I have hopes and dreams for Palestinians, none of them involve harming a Jew,” she said.
The poisonous response to Gigi Hadid from the official Instagram account of the State of Israel drew attention.
The Israeli attacked Hadid in the post with the following words: “Have you been sleeping well for a week, Gigi? Or do you turn a blind eye to the murder of Jewish babies in their homes? Your silence shows your position very well. We see you.”
‘PROPAGANDA’ REACTION TOWARDS ISRAEL
In another message, the Israeli state account shared a photo of bloody children’s toys and clothing, tagging Hadid and saying: “If you don’t condemn this, your words have no meaning.”
While these harsh messages sparked reactions on social media, many people pointed out that the famous model did not remain silent as Israel said and also condemned the Hamas attack. Many people accused Israel of “covering up with propaganda the crime against humanity it committed in Gaza.”
Gigi and Bella Hadid, the model daughters of Palestinian-American businessman Mohamed Hadid, had previously created controversy with their support for Palestine.
