US Secretary of State Antony Blinken left Israel on Thursday last week and returned to this country after his regional tour.
According to the written statement from the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office, Blinken attended the war cabinet meeting with Netanyahu.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, former Defense Minister Benny Gantz, former Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot and former Israeli Ambassador to Washington Ron Dermer attended the meeting as members of the war cabinet.
The leader of the ultra-Orthodox Jewish Shas party, Arya Deri, also attended the cabinet meeting, although she was not a member of the war cabinet.
Israel’s National Security Council Chairman Tzachi Hanegbi and the Prime Minister’s Military Secretary Avi Gil were also present at the bilateral meeting held by Prime Minister Netanyahu and Blinken during the day.
