Netanyahu warning: the price will be very high
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu gave the opening speech of the new Parliament session.
Speaking about the attack launched by Hamas from the blockaded Gaza Strip, Netanyahu said: “There are many questions that need to be answered, we have begun to learn the lessons.”
Netanyahu recalled that US President Joe Biden warned Hezbollah, which increased its military activities on the Lebanese border in northern Israel.
“THE COST WILL BE VERY HIGH”
Stating that they will not end the war without a victory and that their goal is to overthrow Hamas, Netanyahu addressed Iran and Lebanese Hezbollah and said: “We warn Iran and Hezbollah not to test our will. “The cost would be much higher,” he said.
“WE SHOULD NOT LEAVE THE WAR”
Israeli President Isaac Herzog, in his opening speech to the session, drew attention to the polarization within Israel and said: “Our enemies are eagerly eyeing every trace of division between us.”
Noting that, like Netanyahu, the necessary investigations into the attack on Gaza will be carried out and lessons have begun to be learned, Herzog said: “We must not leave this war the same way we entered it.”
“IF THE WORLD DOESN’T LIKE IT, DON’T GO…”
The main opposition leader, former Prime Minister Yair Lapid, also stated:
“We will destroy Hamas and bring back the Israeli prisoners in Gaza. This will take a long time and require a lot of strength. If the world doesn’t like it, don’t let it go. “Our children died, not theirs.” (AA)
