The young candidate won in a country that held elections under the shadow of violence

It has been confirmed that former deputy Daniel Noboa, 35, won the presidential election in the South American country of Ecuador.

In Ecuador, where 91.46 percent of the votes were counted, according to provisional results, the candidate of the Movement for National Democracy, Noboa, received 52.28 percent of the votes, and the leftist candidate of the Popular Revolution , Luisa González, received 47.72 percent.

In his victory speech, Noboa stated that starting tomorrow they will work for a new Ecuador and said: “Tomorrow a new hope begins and the new president of the republic, Daniel Noboa, begins to work starting tomorrow.”

Once the results were finalized, González accepted defeat and said: “Democracy won, we offer our most sincere congratulations.”

Faced with an unprecedented security crisis in recent months, authorities assigned approximately 100,000 people, including soldiers and police, for electoral security. It was reported that 300 international observers were present to follow the elections. (AA)
