Shocking decision: demonstrations in support of Palestine were banned

Demonstrations in support of Palestine were banned, the streets of France were chaotic

After the crisis between Israel and Hamas, a much debated decision was made in France. In his Telegram message to the governors, French Interior Minister Darmanin ordered them to ban all protests in support of Palestine, claiming they could “disturb public order.” Darmanin also demanded that those who participated in these prohibited demonstrations be arrested.

INTERVENTION WAS INTERVENED ON PROTESTERS IN PARIS

After the French government said Palestinian protests could “disturb public order,” police intervened in a demonstration held in support of the Palestinian people in Paris, using tear gas and water cannon.

Protesters shouted slogans against French President Emmanuel Macron, who condemned Hamas attacks and expressed solidarity with Israel, chanting “murderer of Israel” and “accomplice of Macron.”

PROTESTS WERE HELD IN MANY CITIES

While local authorities allowed demonstrations in support of Israel in different cities, this week they banned demonstrations in support of Palestine in Lyon, Marseille and Paris, saying they “risked disturbing public order.” A demonstration in support of Palestine was held in Lyon, despite the governor’s ban.
