Israel warns against asking about ‘baby allegations’ at press conference
At the online press conference held by the Israel Defense Forces, members of the press were not allowed to speak about the “baby accusations” shared by the Israeli Prime Minister on the social media platform X.
The journalists, who claimed to have the right to know the details of the matter and repeated their questions, were harshly reprimanded by the moderator of the press conference and threatened with silence.
The commander of the Israeli search and rescue team, Colonel Golan Vach, said they counted more than 1,000 dead and more than 4,000 wounded and signaled that they were ready for the next stage.
Responding to the first question about “baby claims”, Vach stated that he personally “saw the bodies of a baby, women and young people brutally murdered” in different areas.
Vach responded to members of the press’ requests for evidence on the issue: “I didn’t take a photo of the baby, but I have a lot of photos that you don’t want to see.” he said.
Colonel Vach responded to the question whether the condition in which the baby was found was definitely due to a knife: “I don’t know if it was necessary to ask this question.” Because when you see a baby like that, it doesn’t matter what it looks like.” saying.
PRESS MEMBERS REACTED
Members of the press who continued to ask questions and said the details of the incident were important were accused of disrespect by the moderator of the press conference. The online meeting ended as tensions rose.
Following the departure of Colonel Vach and the meeting moderator, members of the press continued to express their harsh reactions at the meeting, which was still recorded. Members of the press were also divided among themselves.
Some members of the press warned those who reacted to not receiving a response to be respectful. (AA)
