‘Brilliant’ protest against main opposition leader in England
Keir Starmer, leader of the main opposition Labor Party in England, attended a party conference in Liverpool today.
Approaching Keir Starmer on stage, Yaz Ashmawi, 28, cast brilliant roles on the main opposition leader.
At the time when Starmer was distraught, Ashmawi said: “We demand a home for the people. We are in crisis, we are in crisis. “Our entire future is in danger,” he said.
Meanwhile, the guards who went on stage intervened with the activist.
Police said the 28-year-old was detained on suspicion of disturbing the peace and causing a public nuisance.
While the protest prevented Starmer from speaking, the weakness of security was also questioned.
The press reported that Ashmawi is a member of a climate organization called Extinction Rebellion. It was learned that Yaz Ashmawi is also a photographer.
Extinction Rebellion, which is based in England and takes action to draw attention to the climate crisis, announced that it will stop disturbing public order as we enter 2023.
The climate group, which also has followers in Turkey, defines itself on its website as follows: “Extinction Rebellion is an international movement that puts an end to mass extinction and social collapse caused by global companies, especially the industrial of fossil fuels and livestock, and the politicians they support.”
