White House: US will not send ground troops to Israel
The Strategic Communications Coordinator of the White House National Security Council, John Kirby, made assessments about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in his statement to reporters.
Kirby stated that they have no intention of sending troops to the field and said that the United States will protect and defend its national security interests wherever those interests lie.
Stating that the first tranche of aid to Israel is on the way, Kirby said: “We will announce more aid in the coming days so that Israel’s enemies do not try to take advantage of the current situation. “We will announce more aid in the coming days so that Israel’s enemies do not think they will take advantage of them,” she said.
Responding to the question of whether Hamas’ attacks have anything to do with Iran, Kirby emphasized that Tehran is “complicit to some extent” because it has supported Hamas for many years. Noting that there is no tangible evidence that Iran was directly involved in Hamas’ attack plans, Kirby said they will continue to investigate the matter.
Regarding normalization between Israel and Saudi Arabia, Kirby said: “We think it’s a good sign not only for the parties, but also for the United States and everyone else in the region.”
