Maduro: Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinian people
Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro claimed that buildings in Gaza where civilians live were bombed indiscriminately and accused Israel of committing “genocide” against the Palestinian people.
When speaking in the program he attended, President Maduro emphasized that they read with attention and concern the declaration of the United Nations (UN) and said: “The genocide against the Palestinian people has begun in Gaza.”
Claiming that Israel has committed “massacres” in Gaza many times before, Maduro said: “In Gaza, the buildings where civilians live are being attacked indiscriminately, everywhere is being bombed, women and children are dying every day.” All my Muslim, Christian and Jewish brothers from around the world, let us ask the UN for an immediate ceasefire,” he emphasized.
Maduro said peace negotiations must begin as soon as possible and that an independent and sovereign Palestinian state must be established in a way that respects UN resolutions.
Recalling that the Palestinian people have been subjected to all kinds of harassment and discrimination for years, Maduro said: “The UN issued a mandatory decision for its implementation in 1967. According to the decision, the borders drawn for Israel and the State of Palestine would be respected and, at the same time, East Jerusalem would be the capital of Palestine, but all the governments that came to power in Israel constantly violated this decision. he made the assessment of it.
“THEY ARE BECOMING DEAF AND MUTE”
Maduro asked the new generation to look at the history of Palestine and said: “Oppression, blockade and injustice have been going on for years. If you look at the map, you will understand how the lands of Palestine have been taken over the years. They divided the Palestinian lands into two parts. “The international media doesn’t want to see this, that’s why they act deaf and dumb,” he said.
Stating that they will always defend the Palestinian people, Maduro stated that they also support Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ call for a two-state solution.
“I AGREE WITH ERDOĞAN”
Maduro supported President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s statements on Israel and Palestine…
Maduro said: “I completely agree with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Use extremely sensible words. A just and complete peace that respects the decisions of the UN must be guaranteed. “I believe that Erdogan, as a leader, can be the person who will intervene in this situation, he will ensure that the ceasefire is achieved and he will initiate a just peace,” he said.
