Blinken deleted his ‘ceasefire’ post

US Secretary of State Blinken deleted his ‘ceasefire’ post

As mutual attacks continue in Israel and Palestine, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

After his first meeting with Fidan, Blinken said on his social media account: “I encouraged Turkey to advocate for the ceasefire and the immediate release of all hostages held by Hamas.”

The written statement made by the US State Department about the meeting said: “The two discussed the ‘Hamas’ terrorist attack against Israel.” Blinken encouraged Turkey’s continued engagement and expressed that the United States is focused on getting Hamas to stop the attacks and release all hostages.”

While Blinken deleted his social media post in the morning, the statement he made on the ministry’s official website was not deleted. (AA)
