Israeli tourists could not return to their country due to fear
It was claimed that some of the Israeli tourists who came from Israel to the Mediterranean island of Crete for a holiday and wanted to return to Tel Aviv on a regular flight gave up boarding the plane at Heraklion airport at the last minute.
Speaking to ERT journalist Jason Tavlas, the president of Crete travel and tourism agencies, Michalis Vlatakis, stated that 17 Israeli tourists initially gave up on returning to their country and said: “Some Israeli tourists are afraid of what is happening. in his own country. Of the 340 people who were going to Israel on morning flights, 17 ultimately refused to leave! “So they lost the tickets they had bought for the return trip and booked a hotel room in Heraklion at their own expense,” he said.
It was reported that 9 flights daily leave Heraklion to Israel and despite the chaos of the morning, the remaining flights operated normally.
