Mutual attacks continue… Hamas hits Israel with rockets
The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, announced that they launched a comprehensive attack against Israel called the “Aqsa Flood” this morning.
While thousands of rockets were fired from Gaza towards Israel, armed groups entered settlements in the region.
In response, the Israeli army announced that it had launched an attack on the Gaza Strip with dozens of fighter jets.
The Palestinian Health Ministry stated that 198 people were killed and 1,610 injured in Israel’s attacks on Gaza.
Israeli army radio announced that 150 Israelis have been killed in the attacks so far and that the number of wounded nationwide is approaching 1,000.
THE IRON DOME COMES INTO ACTIVATION
Hamas announced that 150 rockets were fired at Tel Aviv.
After the rockets were launched, attack sirens sounded in Israeli cities and settlements around the Gaza Strip and in the capital, Tel Aviv.
As a result of the destruction of rockets launched from Gaza by the Israeli Iron Dome air defense system, loud explosions were heard in the sky over Jerusalem. (AA)
