While Hamas’s armed wing, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, announced that it had launched an operation against Israel called “Aqsa Flood”, the Israeli army announced that it had launched an attack against the Gaza Strip.

Palestinian groups reportedly opened fire on a ship belonging to the Israeli Navy off the Gaza Strip. The official Israeli broadcaster KAN reported that an Israeli woman was killed and many people were injured as a result of a rocket that hit settlements around Gaza. (AGENCIES)
