It has been announced that the threat of bed bugs, which increases especially in the summer months, is gradually increasing in Greece.

Yorgos Lambru, president of the Association of Greek Bed Bug Disinfestation Companies (SEAME), stated in his statement to the Greek Radio and Television Corporation ERT that a “state of alarm” has been reached due to bed bugs, which are common in the whole country. especially in tourist areas.

Noting that bed bugs can easily spread through luggage and public transportation, Lambru reported that the insects have been seen in hotels, campgrounds and apartments.

Lambru pointed out that the threat of bed bugs, which increases especially in the summer months, is increasing and warned that caution must be taken in the use of medications so as not to negatively affect public health.

Concern about “bed bug infestation”, found almost everywhere in France, where the Paris Olympics will be held in 2024, has increased and the insect has also been seen in schools. (AA)
