Atrocities are happening in the town of Groza! Very harsh reaction from the UN…
The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, in his statement on his social media account, claimed that the Russians shelled a civilian facility in the village of Groza in the Kupyansk district of the Kharkiv region of Ukraine with missiles.
Noting that 49 people, including a 6-year-old boy, were killed and 6 people were injured in the attack, Yermak stated that debris removal efforts were continuing at the site and said: “The Russians are terrorists who cynically kill peaceful people knowingly.” he said.
Oleg Sinegubov, head of the military administration of the Kharkiv region, said the Russian army shelled a cafe and a store in the village of Groza, where there were many civilians.
“RUSSIA IS SADLY COMMITTING A CRIME”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy made a statement on his social media account and expressed his condolences to the families of those killed in the Russian missile attack.
Zelenskiy stated that “Russia committed a brutal crime” and added: “Russian terrorism must be stopped. Anyone who helps Russia evade sanctions is guilty. Anyone who still supports Russia is supporting evil. Russia is carrying out these and similar terrorist attacks to make its genocidal aggression the norm in the world. “I thank all the leaders and all the people who support us in protecting life.” he said.
Zelenskiy emphasized that they will respond to Russia and stated that they are holding talks with the leaders of European countries about strengthening Ukraine’s air defense systems.
UN DECLARATION
A written statement was issued from the Office of the Spokesperson of the United Nations (UN) on the subject. The statement said 49 people were killed and injured in the attack, adding: “Attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure are prohibited under international humanitarian law and must stop immediately.” The expression was used.
“The UN Secretary-General strongly condemns the attack.” The statement indicated that the UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, expressed his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
