It is planned to ban the sale of cigarettes to young people.

Rishi Sunak made statements on numerous issues on the country’s agenda at the closing of the annual conference of the Conservative Party, of which he is leader.

In his speech, Prime Minister Sunak noted that the law that will ban the sale of cigarettes to young people will be put to a vote in the British Parliament and emphasized that the age to buy cigarettes will be increased by one year each year, so that a generation younger people can grow up “without smoking.”

“This law means that cigarettes will never be legally sold to a 14-year-old today, and that they and their generations will be able to grow up without smoking,” Sunak said. Underlining that the vote on this issue in the British parliament will be a free vote, Sunak added that he does not believe it would be fair to take away the right to smoke from a current smoker.

Sunak also made statements about the use of e-cigarettes, saying: “We will also introduce measures to restrict our children’s access to e-cigarettes by looking at flavours, packaging presentations and disposable e-cigarettes. “We must prioritize the next generation and that is what I will do,” he said.

In his speech, Sunak also addressed the issue of “preventing irregular migration”, one of his party’s important promises, saying: “We are by no means where we want to be, but don’t let anyone tell you we’re not making progress. “

Outlining his government’s efforts to quickly detain and deport illegal immigrants, Sunak said: “I will do whatever it takes to stop the migrant boats.”

Sunak announced that he has canceled the northern line of the HS2 high-speed train project, which has recently been on the country’s public opinion agenda, which will reach Manchester.

Sunak said the government will complete the part of the project connecting Birmingham and Euston: “Instead of the canceled part, we will invest all the money we have saved, which is £36 billion, in different transport projects in the north. Midlands and other parts of the country.”
Sunak also added that tax cuts were not on the agenda and that “reducing inflation is the biggest tax cut”.

The HS2 high-speed rail project was the largest investment in existing infrastructure in the country. The project aimed to connect London and the West Midlands region, extend to Birmingham and then reach Crewe, Manchester and Leeds in the north. (AA)
