Ajax signed Louis van Gaal

Louis van Gaal, the team’s former coach, was appointed consultant to Ajax, one of the Dutch Eredivisie teams.

The club’s statement states that Van Gaal was appointed advisor on technical issues, a decision made after the board of directors meeting.

Van Gaal, 72 years old, who in previous seasons was coach of Ajax, who could not start the season as he wanted and ranked 15th in the league with 5 points, helped the Dutch team win 3 league championships and the UEFA. Champions League Cup in 1995.

Evaluating his new position, Van Gaal said: “I want to help Ajax. I currently spend most of my life in Portugal and my new role will be compatible with this situation. I want to support the club with my football knowledge. We must find our way back.” he made the assessment of it.
