As the investigation into the horrific incident continues, the couple, who faced tragedy in their happiest days, have spoken for the first time. Speaking to British Sky News, groom Revan, 27, and bride Haneen, 18, spoke about their experiences.
Although the young couple said they were dead inside, it was noted that the bride’s mother and brother died and her father was undergoing treatment in intensive care. Revan, who organized the wedding that ended in tragedy, said: “I lost 15 members of my family. Haneen also lost 10 of her family members. “My wife can’t talk,” she said.
Revan said, “That’s it, we can’t live here anymore. Every time we want to be a little happy, a tragic event happens that destroys our happiness. It is best to let it go. Yes, we are sitting here and we are alive, but we are numb inside. “We’re dead inside,” he said.
THEY CRUSHED THE BRIDE’S LEG
Revan said: “I think the fire started in the roof. There may have been a short circuit, I don’t know. It started from the roof and we felt the heat. “The roof melted in a few seconds,” he said. Revan said that when they noticed the fire, they took his wife, who was wearing a wedding dress, and entered through the kitchen door, adding that those who tried to escape from the scene crushed his wife’s leg.

Speaking to the British media, Revan stated that there was only one fire extinguisher at the scene and it did not work. Revan said: “Our family, friends and loved ones are gone. We buried Haneen’s uncle and his two daughters two days ago. We buried her other uncle yesterday. “Today we buried his brother and his mother,” he said.
