The former foreign minister of the so-called Armenian administration was captured in Karabakh.
The Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan announced that Davit Babayan, former foreign minister of the so-called Armenian administration in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, against whom the court issued an arrest warrant in absentia, was captured.
The statement from the Prosecutor General’s Office reported that Babayan, who served as presidential undersecretary, presidential advisor in charge of foreign affairs and foreign minister in the so-called Armenian administration between 2013 and 2023, was captured.
The statement noted that Babayan, like other administrators of the so-called Armenian administration, was determined to have a connection to the ballistic missile attack on the city of Ganja during the Second Karabakh War.
It was recalled that Azerbaijani courts had previously issued an arrest warrant in absentia against Babayan, who served in the so-called regime, and an international search warrant had been issued against him. (AA)
