Death toll rises from explosion and fire in Karabakh

According to Armenia’s official news agency Armenpress, based on Armenian representatives in Karabakh, the death toll in the explosion and fire at the gasoline storage facility on the Askeran highway near Khankendi on September 25 was 68. .

The Institute of Legal Medicine announced that the identities of 21 people who died have been determined.

THE FATE OF 105 PEOPLE IS NOT KNOWN

On the other hand, it was noted that the fate of 105 people believed to have been affected by the explosion has not yet been determined.

168 of the 290 injured treated in hospitals were transferred to hospitals and burn treatment centers in Armenia.

Many people were reported killed and 290 injured in the explosion and subsequent fire that broke out at a gasoline storage area near the Khankendi-Askeran highway in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan on September 25.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan announced that Azerbaijani firefighters extinguished the fire in the gasoline storage area.

In his statement on his social media account, the advisor to the President of Azerbaijan, Hikmet Hajiyev, stated that Azerbaijan mobilized all its resources to help the Armenian population of the region damaged by the incident and that the hospitals in Aghdam, Sabirabad and Saatli They were reinforced with medical personnel for the admission and treatment of the wounded.
