Bloody attack on the West Bank by Israel… Students were also detained

Two Palestinians were killed and an Israeli soldier was wounded in the attack carried out by Israeli forces in the Nur Shams refugee camp in the occupied West Bank.

Eyewitnesses reported that the Israeli army raided the camp in the town of Tulkerem from several points in the early morning hours. Witnesses described an armed conflict between Israeli forces and Palestinians who opposed the attack, noting that the Israeli army damaged the camp’s streets and Palestinians’ vehicles with bulldozers.

The report by the official Palestinian news agency WAFA states that the Palestinians who lost their lives in the Israeli army attack were Usayd Cebavi, 21, and Abdurrahman Suleyman Ebu Dağash, 32.

The Israeli army’s written statement states that a soldier was injured by shrapnel during the attack on the Nur Shams refugee camp in the West Bank.

On the other hand, Israel raided Birzeit University in the West Bank and detained many students. In the written statement from Birzeit University the following statements were used: “A large unit of the occupation army stormed the university campus at dawn, detained many students and damaged university property.”

In the statement condemning the raid and arrests carried out by the Israeli army on the campus, it was highlighted that the raid in question violated the sanctity of universities and educational institutions, as well as all international norms and conventions. (AA)
