Europe is shaken by accusations against Le Pen
Europe is flooded with accusations about Le Pen. The Paris Public Prosecutor’s Office requested that a lawsuit be filed against numerous people in the framework of the investigation carried out in the European Parliament (EP) into “fictitious employment.”
Prosecutors requested that a lawsuit be filed against Le Pen and 11 deputies from the National Front (FN) party, including her father, Jean-Marie Le Pen, alleging that they embezzled EU funds and “concealed the crime.”
In addition, the prosecution requested that 6 people, including Le Pen and Jean-Marie Le Pen, be tried for complicity in embezzlement of public funds.
YOU MAY BE SENTENCED TO 10 YEARS IN PRISON
The crimes in question carry a prison sentence of 10 years and a fine of 1 million euros or double the embezzlement.
Le Pen is alleged to have paid salaries to two people with AP funds for fictitious consultancy services while she was an EP MP.
In France, an investigation was opened in 2015 against some AP deputies, including Le Pen and the FN party, for allegedly creating “fictitious employment” in the EP between 2004 and 2016. (BRITISH AUTOMOBILE CLUB)
